I really like the tranquility of it all.

when we reached our room, the room was 10C. Very cold! We had a cognac at the main building after our wonderful dinner and the server was not very friendly, he served us XO cognac in scotch glasses and wasn't very nice when we asked for a cognac glasses. We finally talked to someone about it and they solved it. I also told the server someone had vomit on the carpet all over the bathroom and 45 minutes later, it wasn't clean. Unacceptable!

The location and scenery were fantastic. I love how the hotel seems to have its own little place in paridise and still slow close to town.

  • 9.6

Great escape into a serene place.

Disappointed to see the flag not lowered to half mast upon the death of Peter Lougheed. Extra charge for wireless access. Many travellers like ourselves merely want to spend 10 minutes checking our e-mail each day; to be charged 14.95 when virtually every other stop on our travels includes it gratuitously was both surprising and disappointing.

everything! the scenery, the staff were very helpful, the room was awesome. Can't wait to come back and stay longer!

The scenery was spectacular,so much to do and see on the property. The staff were very friendly and helpful.Loved the king bed and the coffee maker! Also ,the burger that we had for dinner was the best we ever had.

Excellent hotel. I've stayed there before and was impressed with the facilities.

    I tend to overspend.

Friendly staff, beautiful location, well kept room.

What I didnt like was that I had to make a reservation for my dinner, I've stayed in other Fairmont hotel and this was the first time I was asked if I had a reservation. (6pm) In the informal dining area me and my husband ordered drinks, and our waiter forgot about us, we've waited about 15 to 20 mins to get it. He noticed it an had his manager apologize to us but still I always expect excelence from Fairmont.

An aging facility that needs some serious updating and upgrading to maintain it's positioning in the marketplace. Once thought to be the jewel in the Jasper area it is starting to show some serious deterioration in the physical facility, and the maintenance is sadly allowing it to decline to where it is clearly unable to live up to it's past reputation and image. I will not be considering it as a "top" or "superior" choice anymore as I have in the past, and will have to pursue other options in the area.

Windows and doors do not operate properly and have been neglected for quite some time. The bathroom has several items that need maintenance and improvement commensurate with the type of facility that this once was and is still intended to portray and support it's past reputation\image.Unless owners are intent on supporting this facility's past image and reputation by investing in it's future by upgrading it to "today's" standards I believe that it will accelerate in it's decline from the once stellar position it had in the marketplace. It is sad to see how far it has declined in the past 10 years, and to NOT see the necessary investment in time and money to properly maintain it at the level it's past reputation would require-SAD!

    Very good

We both really enjoyed the lakeside view and the staff were overall quite helpful when needed. The location was second to none and I would definitely return again.

Our hotel remote for the TV didn't work sadly. We just used the buttons on the side of the tv but it would have been nice to have the remote working. The only other thing to note was we had to get bathrobes delivered as they were not present when we arrived. Just a small oversight I would imagine as it was complimentary with the room and probably just missed. It took about an hour to get them delivered which was supposed to be "right away".

    The beautiful location

The parking site that was far from my room and the one way traffic that was not marked clearly causing me to make a turn in a very narrow spot. I was also disappointed in the distance from the curb to my room to which I had to pull a very heavy bag. I found the site map confusing.

The combination of luxury and mountain side cabin was unique and a pleasant experience. Being feet from a nice lake was pretty cool as well.

For the price you can't really say its a good value. I think if you went here to play golf then it would be a good value, but if you're just staying a couple of nights to take in the Jasper Park scenery then maybe its not worth the extra money to stay here. Of course, I haven't stayed at any other Jasper town area hotel so its hard to say for sure.

The setting is lovely. Very normal rooms, but lovely setting indeed. The golf course is stunning.

The food is ridiculously priced. I realize it is a Fairmont property, which spells expensive, but $23 for a burger??? $11 for a very small cup of soup?? Obviously people who stay at this hotel have booked it because they can afford luxury pricing, which we can... but this is a ridiculous amount to pay. We still bought the soup and burger but regrettably this is the one thing that would keep me from ever splurging on the hotel again. The pillows are all feather with no support. Need replacing or a mixture of different support in the pillows.

Very quiet and peaceful place with beautiful scenery. I saw lots of stars all over the sky after dark. This is deninitely one of my favorite places in Rocky Mountains.

Not so much to complain. One weired thing was there was not enough designate parking spots, but to be honest it didnt bothered me.

    Fantastic scenery and quite.

For $500+ a night the room was in no way luxurious.
